From the brilliantly legible dial to the curved, brushed case-edges, to the chunky solid back with its embossed and polished seahorse motif (enlarged now to fill the entire flat bottom surface of the caseback), this is one handsome timepiece.

I must admit I’m not a big fan of the whole James Bond thang that some Omega owners have going on. Despite also reading quite a lot of Seth’s work, including “All Marketers are Liars” I’m not a big fan of his either.

Well maybe this one is different, looks to be a reliable German seller with a mass of feedback. To be honest I’m not the worlds biggest Speedmaster fan but I must admit those Gold ones look really, really nice. Have to give the seller a one point deduction for obvious use of the Photoshop Lens Flare effect.
Maybe be a bit over the top but the combination of Omega’s and chocolate can do strange things to a man. Worth a read, more of a travel review than anything but of interest to those looking to visit the “homeland”.
Another interesting — and sometimes cheaper — way to buy Swiss products is by going direct to the manufacturers, which generally means you get a free tour as well. Omega watch enthusiasts can see their favourite time pieces being made at Omega’s assembly plant in Biel-Bienne, or sample a lot of nice Camille Bloch chocolates at their factory in the small village of Courtelary.
Long gone are the days when us Geeks spent all our time in our Mom’s basement playing RPG’s. Today’s Geek is a man of the world, a sophisticated, stylish raconteur with an eye for the Ladies. Time for the world to wake up, Geek’s are on the march and their timepiece of choice is……you got it in one….three cheers for OMEGA!

For those of you with a really sharp eye yes that is Edwin Starr’s TIME [gedit] from an Ian Brown compilation album playing on an iPod with an Omega Speedmaster on top, how cool am I ?
